Okay, this means you could sign and encrypt with Outlook 2007 and Gpg4win 
1.9.8, which is good. I have no idea why it did not work with Outlook 2003.
Can you give us more information about the precise version number?
Are you using this standalone or with a server, which one?

Okay, so 1.9.8 and 1.9.9 behaviour is consistant for your problem.
Did you try enabling S/mime? We had a defect in this area that it
might need to be enabled though you would want to use OpenPGP recently.

Note, btw, that gpg4win 1 cannot deal with PGP/MIME message

person where I have a choice ;)

of the Outlook/Exchange combination. It might not be using rfc2822 
compliant email addresses for internal sending.
What is the error message you're getting?

If it is problem, we'll resolve ist sooner or later.

I've just been testing 1.9.9 on Vista x64 and it's looking very good so far.

GpgEX is a 32 bit shell extension and so only appears in instances of 32
bit Explorer. Since the default Explorer in Vista x64 is 64 bit, I was
just wondering if a 64 bit version of GpgEX was planned?

Please do point me to existing documentation on this if I've missed it
anywhere.

As of Gpg4win-2, GpgOL marks emails with a flag that says "its mine".
Intention is to not allow Outlook to try on its own. Maybe this
flagging of emails is not permitted in your environment?

I don't think you missed anything.

I don't see any issue here. GpgEX works on your 64bit system I guess.
IMHO there is no particular gain for GpgEX if it would use 64.

Entirely possible (if I understand you correctly), given that the
point of the shared mailbox is that everybody has access.

No, as I said, it only works in 32 bit Explorer. The default on Windows
x64 is 64 bit Explorer.

Thus GpgEX does not work at all on 64 bit Windows unless the user makes
the effort to run the non-standard Explorer (in which case he cannot
then use his standard 64 bit shell extensions).

If GpgEX is distributed as 32 bit only then very, very few people will
run it on 64 bit Windows. I think that would be unfortunate.

  I just overwrote the files related to GPG 1.4.7 with the files from
GPG 1.4.9 (maybe if you can install v 1.4.9 in another folder...). I
took the files from another computer (it also belongs to me, so they
should be safe to use). I have not had any problem, BUT, it doesn't
guarantee you won't have problems...

I've just over-written the 1.4.7 files with the equivalents for 1.4.9
and it worked fine, no problems.

Note that 1.4.7 is fully functional, so there is no pressure to upgrade GnuPG.
(Yes 1.4.7 -> 1.4.9 has a few improvement, but you can also use GnuPG2 from
upcoming Gpg4win2. :))

in the bug tracker? Good idea.
The solution might be just a hint in the documentation though.
I am not surewhether this is really to be regarded as a defect.

If it stops people using GPG4Win with shared mailboxes, I'd say it is
for 2 reasons:

1) The older versions work as expected (POLA)
2) It forces people to use PGP instead ;)
