I guess you are using OpenPGP (because Gpgwin 1 one does OpenPGP). :) > If recipient not in global address list and I type his email address > manually or user in local contacts then message sent without Recipient > Dialog. How I can solve the situation (receive user's email in SMTP > format, but not X.500)? Just to be sure to understand your problem: You are getting an extra dialog or the email is not send? And you are saying that the email is send, if you type in the address manually or get it from the local contacts? > I try use the beta version of GPG4Win (2.0.0rc1) but this mistake appear > again We will shortly publish 2.0.0 so the 2 series is the best you can test. > PS. I may change settings of Exchange Server and Active Directiory There are many combinations of Exchange, Outlook and the underlying operations system libraries. Unfortunately we currently cannot test them all, because of the effort keep the combinations maintained for test setups and the tests itself. So we are grateful for your report! I am not very experienced with Exchange, do those entries in the directory have SMTP addresses associated with it? I've reproduce the problem (with WinXPSP3+OL2003SP3+Gpg4win2.0.0): Click on a link in an email (crypto or plain) -> outlook hangs for ca. 50sec. After deactivating GpgOL (instruction see above): Browser opens directly after clicking on a link. Maybe it is related to https://bugs.g10code.com/gnupg/issue1104 (GpgOL slow to open attachments)? A gpg.exe is installed in the path and Psi should use that one instead of a hard coded fill filename. If you really need a full filename, use C:\Program Files\GNU\GnuPG\pub\gpg.exe This pub directory is the one published in %PATH%. The gpg.exe there is a kind of symlink. I've tested a bit with other installer languages: The installer program linked to the missing (e.g. Russian) README file. And so the README file can't open. I've added a copy of the English README (with a short calling to contribute a translation of this file) for all supported installer languages (Russian, French, Spanish and Arabic). It's committed into gpg4win svn (r1271) and it's available in the next release. We look forward to receiving new translations :-). Different subkeys are also viewed as different keys. > By the way. Psi needs C:\Program Files\GNU\GnuPG\gpg.exe but gpg4win > 2.0.0 has no such file. I had to create a sylink to C:\Program > Files\GNU\GnuPG\gpg2.exe > (http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html can > do it on NTFS) Please don't do that. (Run "gpg --version --version" to see what I mean). Salam-Shalom, Werner -- Die Gedanken sind frei. Auschnahme regelt ein Bundeschgesetz. Psi starts gpg for every Psi account in spite of the same > key id. Thanks. I now know what happens: We serialize the starting of the pinentry so that you won't get several pinentries at once if several clients ask gpg-agent for a passphrase. This somewhat hides the actual problem: Client-1: Client-2: enter get_pw if not in cache start pinentry enter get_pw if not in cache wait for other pinentry return pinentry returns put pw in cache start pinentry return pw pinentry returns put pw in cache return pw Thus a pretty standard problem. Due to the layering of the code it is not trivial to fix but it needs to. Assigned bug#1109. Shalom-Salam, Werner -- Die Gedanken sind frei. Auschnahme regelt ein Bundeschgesetz. Datum: Samstag, 29. August 2009 Von: jinshan han An: gpg4win-announce at wald.intevation.org I first installed the GPG4win-light-2.0 on my computer. When it is generating keys, the window "Enter passphrase" titled by "pinentry.exe" is popuped and it stoped, anything couldn't be inputed. Then I try to installed GPG4win1.0.5. During runing, "The private key you selected as default is no longer available. GPA will try to choose a new default key automatically." is printed, then "The GPGME library returned an unexpected error. The error was: General erro. This is probably a bug in GPA. GPA will now try to recover from this error." was putted out again. My sistem is winXP. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------- From emanuel at intevation.de Mon Aug 31 16:13:47 2009 From: emanuel at intevation.de (Emanuel =?iso-8859-1?q?Sch=FCtze?=) Date: Mon, 31 Aug 2009 16:13:47 +0200 Subject: [Gpg4win-users-en] Gpg4win 2.0.1 RC1 released Message-ID: <200908311613.48129.emanuel@intevation.de> Hello, the first release candidate of Gpg4win 2.0.1 is available for download: http://gpg4win.org/download.html This version fixes some critical bugs in GpgOL 1.0.0. Message-ID: Hello, I have an old installation og GPG4Win on my PC (version 1.0.8 from 2006) I have not used it all that much because I use Outlook 2003 and I had trouble gettingh it to work properly and convice my contacts to also use it. Now I see that version 2.0 has been released so I guess that there are a lot of improvements, right? If I want to test the new one, how do I upgrade? Do I have to uninstall, then reboot my WinXP PC etc, before starting th install of 2.0 or is it simpler than that??? Please advice. Best regards, Bo Berglund
