<html><head></head><body><div style="font-family: Verdana;font-size: 12.0px;"><div>
<div>Hello,</div>
<div>I installed gpg4win on my PC. At the end, my Certificate creation was process complete.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>At the prior following step:</div>
<div>Creating a backup copy of your (private) certificate...</div>
<div>Enter the path under which your full certificate (which contains your new key pair, hence the</div>
<div>private and public key) should be exported:</div>
<div>Kleopatra will automatically select the file type and store your certificate as an .asc or.gpg file</div>
<div>– depending on whether you activate or deactivate the ASCII armor option.</div>
<div>I unchecked the file type as an .asc. Hence it’s not readable w/ an editor.</div>
<div>Since I’m a beginner I was wondering, if you could help me.</div>
<div>Q1: Is there a way that I can “change” this?</div>
<div>In order to solve this problem, I attempted to uninstall the program gpg4win from my PC.</div>
<div>After I started it again, I went through the installation procedure. Then I saw, that the</div>
<div>Certificate creation was already process complete.</div>
<div>Q2: Are there some residual data on my PC. If yes, how can I get rid of them?</div>
<div>Thank you for your help</div>

Do you mean why the hash algorithms given with --version no not match<br/>
the preference option you set in the gpg.conf?<br/>
<br/>
"gpg --version" shows all available algorithms in no specific order.<br/>
What you give in gpg.conf is not related to that - the only requirement<br/>
is that the algorithms you give in gpg.conf must be supported by gpg and<br/>
thus shown with --version.<br/>
