Yes, this is true. It partly fails the usecase we were trying to solve,
because a user potentually needs to add more secure services to
InteProxys config-file, which is only possible when you start it
manually.

Perhaps you could start InteProxy as a context of a 'normal' user to
solve your problem?

Well, we recently added the option to set Proxy-User/password to
connect to into inteproxy.cfg. But this features has no official
release yet, because we are still in testing-phase. But you are invited
to pull the code from SVN[1] and test for yourself.

I am not sure, if this could extended easily for your usecase.
