All,
Just logged in to SourceForge and as Neuro notes Subversion is now available.
Looks good and has the necessary hooks to allow us to report into a mailing
list etc. I seem to remember that I was prime blocker of the use of
Subversion as I didn't like the dependency on Apache 2.
We do also have a secondary option. One of the companies I've been speaking
to has offered a pair of Dell rack mounted servers and if necessary hosting,
and I've had a secondary offer of hosting from one of my colleagues at
Portcullis (he was the guy that started the pub conversation about forking
Nessus). We could therefore have a dedicated infrastructure with servers in
the UK and US which might be more convenient.
If anyone would like to make a formal proposal based on this information, I'm
more than happy for us all to reevaluate our options.
I think we ought to open up the discussion to openvas-discuss regarding how we
deal with offers of donations - I suspect we'll need to involve SPI...
(mental note, we still need to arrange the domain details)
Cheers,
Tim
