I guess a couple of people here (including myself :-) have already
some ideas on a better protocol.
However, the implementation is stable and deeply tied into the server
and clients code. Also it allows compatibility with the Nessus family.
So it is currently not on top of the priority list as there are some
other tasks to work on.
But if someone or a group stands up and works out a new concept
and implements it I am all for it would offer support in form of discussion
of the concept.
One major aspect to keep in mind is performance. So, IMHO java is
not really an option, the server should remain to be in plain C.
