there is a similar problem reported. There was a problem related to
converting TeX-Files. But with my installation (current trunk, gsad
2.0+rc2.SVN.r9917) there is a TeX-File produced with 0 bytes.

report.log shows:
This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-1.40.10 (TeX Live 2009/Debian)

openvasmd.log shows:
md main: DEBUG:2011-01-11 11h07.47 utc:30191: command: /bin/sh
/tmp/openvasmd_b15Sbd/report.xml > /tmp/openvasmd_b15Sbd/report.out

These dirs seem to be temporary.

Only XML-reports work fine.
