Haha.  Another comment.  Sorry :)

While my previous posts and the redhat bug report does find the
problem, the solution may not be to patch openvas.  It seems that the
semantics of gnutls_certificate_set_x509_key() were broken for a few
versions of gnutls (they copied pointers, not data) and this is the
version that's in fedora16.  I've updated the bug report at fedora to
suggest that their gnutls should be fixed.
