is there some public repository or similar available, where
people can "throw anything" towards the documentation group?
Are there any open tasks or some priorization list where
things are defined where documentation is missing and is

I'm listed as the guy in charge of documentation, but honestly I've done
almost none in the past year or two due to time constraints. The more
I had a grand plan at one time, but we need to be realistic about
people's schedules. I encourage you to throw anything you have our way
and we'll make it available. We can then get organized.
