[Pywps-devel] any interest in a wps bakeoff?

Hi
WPS-BakeOff sound like a cookie bakeoff from Desperate Housewives <:)
I am 100% with Jachym, but would like to add some extra personal points:
- Comparing WPSs is good for interoperability and force us to have more
attention to software quality, and we can learn from each others experiences
- To compare WPS, things have to be done in a neutral, open way and
properly discussed, that didn't happen in Barcelona so things turned to
the nasty side (starting with my bad temper...), maybe the WPS-Dev
mailing list ?!
- All WPS implementations have strong and weak points, that in part are
also related to the programming languages being used in development. We
should try to be as much unbiased/balanced as possible.
- I would like to see some benchmarks, either between WPSs or
internally in the PyWPS project (CGI, mod_python, Jython, maybe Cython???)
- Maybe we could start with OGC's WPS implementation tests ?!
- Using GRASS GIS to run processes would be a nice idea, now
52North/ZOO/PyWPS have GRASS bridges more or less functional, I am not
certain what is going on with degree or other implementations.
