new on this one, I have placed my solution on
ftp://intevation.de/users/bernhard/skencil/mandriva/ , too.
I did not find all the other trackers appropriate enough.
And I have filed a new mandriva bug after fighting their bug tracking system.

In an ideal world, the packagers for the different versions
would have make the installation package use the right ones.
We can add all the platform specific hints on the download page
for a start. Maybe we even find a better workflow for this on wald,
where we could even do some dynamic pages.
Are you registered on wald? You could use the documentation section
to upload stuff already.

This is all volunteer work, though no one will blame you,
but of course, I hope the best. ;)

Also another addition to our tools,
can you add this as patch to the wald project tracker?
I hope Bernhard H. will place both scripts in the Tools directory.
