[Skencil-users] Building on Mac OS X

"Maybe I don't need skencil after all."

Wow. MacOS is indeed advanced. I run Debian Linux and it has no clue
what packages I do or do not need (other than dependencies). It just does
what I say. On the other hand, if it did tell me I didn't need gcc (or whatever)
I would just use the --force option. My OS does not control me. It's the other
way around.

Hi, Christian,

I don't get the same results. Using Fink 0.30.0 I get:

MBBMINI:~ martin$ fink list sk*
Information about 10347 packages read in 1 seconds.
     skk [virtual package]
skk-dict 20060312-1 Dictionary file for SKK
     skrooge-kde4-ma 0.7.1-1004 KDE4 - Personal finances manager
     skrooge-kde4-ma 0.7.1-1004 KDE4 - Personal finances manager
     skrooge-kde4-x1 0.7.1-1004 KDE4 - Personal finances manager
     skrooge-kde4-x1 0.7.1-1004 KDE4 - Personal finances manager
     skycal 5-1 Astronomer's almanac tools

and

MBBMINI:~ martin$ fink install skencil
Password:
Information about 10347 packages read in 1 seconds.
Failed: no package found for specification 'skencil'!

Then I downloaded and installed FinkCommander 0.5.5. The top of the window says "Packages: 0 Displayed, 0 Installed" and the window is empty.

Maybe I don't need skencil after all.
