Hi!

I've some bad news, due to the lack of free time and the
fact that there is no second developer, at least a part
time helper, I've to freeze the Windows Privacy Tray project
on indefinite time :-(.

Of course I will fix serious problems, but I won't be able
to work on any new features or on any time consuming items
on the TODO list.

Another problem I cannot handle right now is the VISTA support.
I don't have a Vista system and this won't change for the next time.
And I know that not everybody out there is switching to Vista
immediately, but I even did not finish the XP support so WinPT is
behind its possibilities.

*Important*
The project is _NOT_ dead, it is just frozen on indefinite time.
*Important*

The project site is still active, also the primary download site
and this won't change in the future.

I thought it would be useful for you, all users, to know it. WinPT
is free software under the terms of the GNU General Public License,
but it seems that free software on Windows is still different handled
by developers. I'm aware that it works for *big* projects, like Mozilla,
but it seems WinPT wasn't important enough or shall I better say not
interested enough for other developers to join.

Please let me thank intevation (and all the folks there) for providing
web space and a complete development environment and g10 code (Werner
Koch) for supporting WinPT. And of course all the other supporters and
users who helped the project (!)

This mail does not mean good bye.

	Timo
