Hello,

As gpgol is not working yet with MS Exchange email server, I was wondering whether I could use a free SMTP server. If so can you recommend one?

At work I am logged on the Exchange server.
At home I use the POP3 and SMTP server of my ISP provider. However the email server of the ISP provider denies to relay mails when I attempt at work to send non-local email through that server. For POP3 there is no problem.

In Outlook I can make an additional account with the free SMTP server and the POP3 of my ISP and circumvent the Exchange server.

Best Regards,
Jan

Dear Emanuel,

I read in the notes of this gpg4win 2.1.0-beta1 that it doesn't work for an Exchange server.
How come?

Best Regards,
Jan

Please verify that you have successfully set up your outlook account and you can send plain (non crypto) message - without installed Gpg4win.
After that:
Install Gpg4win 2.1.0-beta1.
Create a test certificate.
Try to send a plain message.
Try to send a signed message (you have to enter your passphrase).
Try to verify your signed message.

Should work without problems with Gpg4win 2.1.0-beta1, Outlook2003 and WindowsXP (successfully tested here).

Regards
Emanuel
