Okay, this needs to work first, because the GUI can work.

gpgsm --list-secret-keys should list your certificate you want to sign with.
If it does not, check with gpgsm --list-keys if you have the certificate
.

Then you could try:
  gpgsm --sign --local-user  yo::ur::ce:rt:id..   hello.txt
