First, great that you like it ;) Secondly: No there is not a Version available 
that uses the geoserver platform. The usage of mapscript from mapserver is at 
the core of mxd2map. But as mxd2map rebuilds the map structure in mapscript 
objects it might just be possible to extend mxd2map so that it also dumps 
them out as SLD's which afaik can be understood by geoserver.

 I have no experience with geoserver though and I wonder if anyone ever tried 
using generateSLD in mapscript and how usable the results were then.
