Which is a very good thing. With website I meant the
real website and not the Gforge environment.

I did not find a way to mark a project as inactive in
Gforge. Sourceforge has a special status "Inactive/Disabled" for it.
Even if I don't expect that much people will look at the project status,
it would be helpful to let people know the project is frozen.
But in my humble opinion, it could lead to frustration if
the mailing lists will continue without administrative support.
And I know the purpose is also that users can help users, but
in 80% of the cases the questions were pointed to project members.
