Hi,

first let me apologize that the blog site related to this mail is
currently only available in German. We are working on it :-(.

In short: We decided to re-launch WinPT. The full text, only available
in German, is available at <http://winpt.gnupt.de/wp/?p=333>.

For those, who don't speak German let me elaborate on it:

The project had reached a point where it did not make sense to
continue because no resources were available. Thus, a project "freeze"
made sense. And then we decided that we need to cleanup the code and
that a re-launch is only useful after the cleanup has been finished.
Plus, that we can guarantee that a minimal amount of resources will be
available for maintenance and further development.

To sum up the situation: we are working on a new release (1.5) and if
the community is interested that we continue beyond this release, we
will start a dialog with the users to discuss the a possible roadmap
for the project.

Any kind of feedback is welcome.
