Am I right in that this would enable higher quality images to be used
in the gui elements? (Because of the 256 index limitation of GIF?)
Sounds like a good idea then.

Can you be more verbose on this one?
If there is no risk involved and development stays equally difficult or easy, 
of course getting a better look and feel is a large plus.

Sounds good again. I guess that SVG will be something that many people will 
like to have better support for. However this will not just be a filter.
