Dirmngr is included as "Network" (We do not expect users to know the name 
dirmngr)

Yes, with this in mind we had added the diagnostic output to kleopatra which 
shows what would be on stderr on the console. We do not have that for all
commands like import or the key interaction commands. This could also
be extended. 

Anyway I think for the users without professional support a "debug tab" in the 
config would also help.

Yes, would you be willing to work on that? I think that it could be a nice 
little project.
