RFC 4880 sollte Deine Fragen beantworten.

"showpref" zeigt die Präferenz des Zert-Ausgebers an, welche im Zert 
gespeichert ist. Damit weißt Du, was Du an Möglichkeiten verwenden kannst.

Komprimierung spart Übertragungsbandbreite, die Präferenzen geben an,
welche Verfahren der Empfänger (vermutlich) versteht.
