Please add 

log-file /foo/bar/dirmngr.log
debug 2048

to the file dirmngr.conf which allows to see the interaction with the
card.  This may reveal PINs, but if you yse a new card we know the PINs
anyway.  The Kleopatra and GPA tools may also be used configure these
options.
