I tried 2 use only Claws-Mail under WinXP:
- configured well, it starts
- connect 2 Hamster
- I tried 2 write an email
clawsmail said: FAILURE; email can not be stored :-(
So, no mail could be sent

- configured a nntp-account
- connect 2 Hamster
- trying 2 fetch the newsgrouplist
clawsmail said: FAILURE; newsgrouplist can not be stored
So, its impossible to read/post newsgroups with claws-mail
