[Gpg4win-users-en] GpgOL and GPgEx registration fails

Hi all,

 

I wanted to give gpg4win 2.1.1 a try.

 

However, during the installation process I get two error popups saying that
the registration of GpgOL and GpgEx failed. Manual registration on the
command line with regsvr32 fails as well. An inspection of the DLLs in
question, gpgol.dll and gpgex.dll, with DependencyWalker (x86) shows  that
the following dependencies are missing:

 

API-MS-WIN-CORE-COM-L1-1-0.DLL

API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-ERROR-L1-1-0.DLL

API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-L1-1-0.DLL

API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-ROBUFFER-L1-1-0.DLL

API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-STRING-L1-1-0.DLL

API-MS-WIN-SHCORE-SCALING-L1-1-0.DLL

DCOMP.DLL

GPSVC.DLL

IESHIMS.DLL

 

I am running Win 7 x64. Looking at the missing DLLs with a "WINRT" in it,
could it be that you broke something while including Win 8 support?
