Good evening from Singapore,

Is the use of Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) to encrypt email messages on the decline? It seems that not many people are using PGP to encrypt email messages nowadays.

I am currently studying Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). I have a CISSP textbook by Shon Harris. The book is All-in-One CISSP Exam Guide Sixth Edition. The entire chapter 7 is devoted to Cryptography. There is a small section in this chapter discussing Pretty Good Privacy (PGP). From the textbook, I understand that PGP is a combination of symmetric and asymmetric encryption algorithms (hybrid encryption algorithm). Asymmetric encryption algorithm is also known as public key cryptography.

Please advise.

Thank you.
